We’ve been running Litewel Electronics for quite some time now over at 27, Kamal Estate. It’s right near the Bombay Conductor in the Vatva Road Gidc area. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s a lot of dust and industry, but that’s where the real work happens. Most days it is just a few of us here making sure things are running the way they should. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s mostly benches and tools and a lot of wires. Sometimes the fans make too much noise but we get used to it. People usually find us by looking for the landmarks since the estate can be a bit confusing for someone visiting for the first time. We started out small and stayed that way mostly because we like knowing who we are talking to. It’s an electronics place, so there’s always something being soldered or tested on the tables. We don’t really do big meetings. Usually, if someone needs something, they just walk in and we talk across the counter. It is a simple setup on Vatva Road. We keep our hours pretty regular, though sometimes we stay late if a job is being stubborn. It’s not a corporate lifestyle. We just do the electronics work that comes our way and try to keep things moving along without too much fuss.
