You can find us inside the Jay Bharat Rangshala Compound over in Saraspur. It’s an old industrial area, and our space is right in the thick of it. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, but the roof doesn't leak much anymore since we patched it last summer. We work with textiles, so there is lint everywhere no matter how much we sweep. The machines make a lot of noise, a sort of rhythmic thumping that you stop noticing after a week of working here. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but we get the work done. We have a few long tables for cutting and sorting. Sometimes we have to move stuff around to make room for a big order, which usually results in a lot of shouting and heavy lifting. Saraspur is a busy part of town, and the compound is always full of people moving things back and forth. We share the space with a few other small businesses, so we’re always borrowing tools or helping someone fix a motor. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just walk in and find one of us on the floor. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We aren't much for fancy talk. We just focus on the fabric and making sure the orders are ready on time. My hands are usually stained with dye by the end of the day.
