Our place is located in Sorainagar, which is in the Vasna area of Ahmedabad. The address is 51/1, and we are right near Dahyakaka’s Kuva, which is a spot most locals can point you toward. Laxmi Engineering Pvt Ltd is our name. We have been in this part of Ahmedabad for quite a while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. Our office and workshop are pretty simple. We have the usual tools and desks you need to run an engineering business. It’s often a bit dusty because of the nearby road, but that is just part of being in this area. We have a lot of people from the neighborhood who stop by to talk about different jobs. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don’t wear suits or use a lot of big words. We just talk about the work and how to get it done properly. There’s a small tree outside that gives us a bit of shade in the afternoons, which is nice when it gets really hot. We have a few old cupboards filled with records from years ago. It’s not a high-tech looking place, but we have everything we need to do our jobs.
