If you head over toward Manish Hall in Sundernagar, you’ll find us right near the Char Rasta. Krishna Studio has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. The shop is small and smells a bit like old paper and electronics. We spend most of our time taking passport photos or helping people get their family pictures printed out. It’s a lot of standing around waiting for the right lighting or trying to get kids to sit still for two seconds. The Char Rasta is always noisy with horns and traffic, so there is never a quiet moment here. We have some old cameras on display that don't even work anymore, but they look nice on the shelf. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching people go by, but then on wedding seasons, it gets completely chaotic. We’re usually covered in bits of photo paper and tape. My hands are always stained with something. We try to keep things organized but the back room is just full of frames and backdrops that we haven't used in years. It’s a simple life, honestly. We aren't trying to be some high-end fashion place, just a local spot where you can get a decent photo without spending a fortune or waiting a week for it. Sometimes the printer jams and we have to spend an hour fixing it, but that’s just how it goes here.
