I've been doing this for a while now in Ahmedabad. My shop is over at E-24 3Apirier, right near Kinal on the TB Nagar Road. Mostly I'm out at weddings or local events but people come in for quick portraits too. It’s a busy spot here and the traffic can be a lot. I usually have my camera ready if anyone drops by without calling first. It's just me and a bit of gear I've collected over the years. People in the neighborhood know where to find me when they need a photo for a form or a family memory. Sometimes the lighting in the shop isn't perfect but we make it work with what we have. I started small and just kept going because I like the work. The road gets really loud in the afternoons with all the rickshaws. I try to keep my files organized but sometimes the prints pile up on the counter. It’s a job I enjoy most days. You see a lot of different faces through the lens. Ahmedabad is a big place but this corner on TB Nagar Road feels like home to me. I don't use fancy talk or big equipment I don't need. I just show up and take the pictures. It’s what I do every day to earn a living. The shop isn't huge at all. We have some simple backdrops and a couple of lights. It's practical and it gets the job done for the folks around here. I like how a simple photo can stay with a family for a long time.
