Our workshop is tucked away at Plot No 81 in the GIDC Odhav area. If you’ve ever been to Ambicanagar Road, you’ll know it’s a real industrial zone. There’s always the sound of metal clanging and trucks moving in and out. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the dust and the heat of the afternoon. Konark Plastomech is basically just a group of us who know a thing or two about plastic machinery. We aren't the type to sit in fancy air-conditioned offices all day. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor, checking on the production or talking to the mechanics. It’s honest work. Sometimes the machines act up, and we spend hours trying to get them back on track. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We build stuff, we fix stuff, and we make sure it gets to the customer. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up talking about the day's problems. It’s a practical life. We’ve seen the GIDC change a lot over the years, with new units opening up every other month. We just keep our heads down and focus on our own plot. It’s not fancy, but it’s ours. We’re just regular people doing a technical job.
