K.K. Textile Engineers

Being located in Phase-I of GIDC Vatva at Plot No 2 means we are right in the thick of the industrial action. It’s dusty and loud most of the time, but that’s just life in Dev Industrial Estate. We mostly deal with textile machinery parts at K.K. Textile Engineers. If a machine breaks down in a local mill, they usually call us to see if we have the right gears or components. The workshop isn't the cleanest place, but it’s where the work happens. We have a few lathes and some milling machines that have seen a lot of use. Near National Rifle is a decent landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We’ve had a few guys working here for over ten years, so they know the machines inside and out. It’s not just about selling parts; it’s about figuring out why something isn't spinning right. The air in Vatva is always thick with the smell of industry, and we’re just one small piece of that puzzle. We keep a stock of common items on the shelves, though half the time we have to dig through a crate to find exactly what’s needed. We don't have a receptionist; you just walk in and look for someone who isn't covered in oil. It's a straightforward way of working. We start early to beat the heat and try to get the heavy lifting done before noon. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out and talk about the neighborhood.
