Khaman Manufacturers

Khaman Manufacturers is based at a place called Harikrupa on Kasturba Gandhi Road. We are very close to the Bhagwati Temple, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way to pray. The smell of the food usually drifts out onto the road. We make khaman and other snacks right here. It is a family-style setup, not a big factory. We use the same recipes we have had for a long time. The kitchen gets really hot, especially in the afternoons. Kasturba Gandhi Road is always busy, so there is never a dull moment. We have been at the Harikrupa building for many years now. People know they can just walk in and see what we are making. We don't have a big fancy storefront, just the workspace and a small area for people to wait. We spend our mornings preparing the batter and the steaming happens throughout the day. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it. The temple bells are a nice sound to work to. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the khaman is good and fresh every day. Khaman Manufacturers is just a small local spot where we do our thing. If you're near Bhagwati Temple, you’ll probably find us by the steam rising from the pots.
