B. J. Engineering Works

People usually find us easily enough once they get onto Road No. 5 here in the GIDC. Plot No. 62 isn't hard to spot if you know the area. We’ve been at this for a while now, just handling the day-to-day work that comes through the door. Most mornings start early with the machines getting warmed up. It gets pretty loud once everything is running, but that is just how it is in an engineering workshop. We deal with a lot of metal, grease, and different kinds of parts that need fixing or making. There is always someone coming in with a sketch or a part that broke on their own machine. We take a look, see what can be done, and then get to it. It’s not fancy work, but it needs to be done right so things keep moving for the people who rely on us. Sometimes the shop floor gets a bit cluttered when we have several big projects going at once, but we manage to find what we need. The tea stall nearby is where most of us head when we take a break. It's a simple setup at B. J. Engineering Works. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just the workspace and the tools. Most of the guys here have been working these machines for years, so they know the sounds they make when something isn't right. It’s just us doing our jobs every day.
