Kanak Moulding & Engineering Works

If you come down to Plot No. L - 24 in the G.I.D.C. Estate at Odhav, you will find our workshop right in the thick of things. The roads around here are usually dusty and crowded with trucks, which is just how it is in this part of town. We have been doing moulding and engineering work here for a long time. The shop floor is usually covered in sand and bits of iron because that is just the nature of the business. It is not a clean place, and we do not try to make it look like one. We have a few machines that have been with us since the beginning and they still run well enough to keep up with the jobs we get. Most of the guys who work here have been with us for years, so they know the quirks of the equipment. We don't really have a formal office, just a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and answer the phone when it rings over the noise. The shed gets really hot during the summer months, so we keep the big fans running, though they mostly just move the warm air around. We just focus on getting the moulds right and finishing the engineering tasks as they come in. People from around the estate stop by to chat or ask about a small job, and we usually find a way to help them out.
