Jewel Tech

Jewel Tech is tucked away inside the Super Mall on C. G. Road, right near the Lal Bunglow landmark. Being in a mall means we see a lot of people walking past, but our shop is more of a workspace than a showroom. We work on jewelry tools and some small-scale machinery used by local jewelers. It’s a small room, 221, and we’ve packed a lot into it. There are workbenches with tiny parts scattered around and magnifying lamps everywhere. It’s quiet work, requiring a lot of focus and steady hands. We aren't like the big jewelry stores downstairs with the bright lights and security guards. We’re the people behind the scenes who make sure the equipment they use stays in good shape. C. G. Road is always buzzing, but once you step into our shop, it feels a bit different. We’ve been here since the mall was newer. We know the other shop owners and we grab tea from the same stall every afternoon. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a couple of us who know our way around a lathe and a polishing motor. We don't make big promises. We just take the broken tools, look at them, and tell you if we can make them run again. Most of the time, we can. It’s a niche business, but it keeps us busy and we like the precision of it. It is just us here.
