Being over at Plot No. 168 on Road No. 4 in Gidc means we are right in the thick of the industrial area. There is always noise from the machines next door and people moving heavy parts around the street. Jekson Machinery Pvt Ltd is just a place where we make machines and fix things that stop working. We have been at this spot for a long time. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we spend most of our time looking at the blueprints or the metal on the workbenches instead of the decor. It is hard work, and your hands get dirty within the first ten minutes of the shift starting. We do not really do the whole corporate thing with suits and ties. Usually, it is just work clothes and a lot of tea to keep us going through the afternoon. If a machine isn't running right, we stay until it is fixed. That is just the rule we have for ourselves. Sometimes the supply trucks are late and it messes up the whole schedule, but we find a way to make it work. Gidc is a busy place, and we are glad to have our space here. We know the neighbors, and sometimes we borrow tools from each other if something goes missing. It is a community of makers, really. We do not talk about fancy visions, we just focus on making sure the parts fit together. It is practical work for practical people.
