You can find Jaykishan Engineering Co. at C-18 in the Jagannath Indl. Estate. We are tucked behind the old Ajit Mill, near the Gujarat Boatling Road. Rakhial is a tough, hardworking part of town, and we fit right in. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of the machines. It’s not the cleanest place, but we prioritize getting the engineering work done over sweeping every five minutes. There’s a lot of metal scrap in the bins and oil on the machines. That’s just part of the life here. We’ve got a small crew of guys who really know their way around the lathes and drills. We don't do much marketing or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who have been coming to this estate for years. The road outside can be a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon. We have a small office where the files are kept, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. It gets loud, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the equipment. We take breaks when we can, usually having tea from the guy who comes around with the kettle. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We don't make any big promises, we just look at the drawings and start the work. Our neighbors are mostly other small machine shops and warehouses, and we all get along okay.
