Jayalakshmi Engineering Works

Jayalakshmi Engineering Works is situated over at 13, Sengaliappan Nagar in Ranganathapuram, Sulur. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the city center, which suits us just fine. Our workshop is where all the actual work happens. You’ll usually find us covered in a bit of grease or metal dust by midday. We have our machines set up in a way that makes sense for the flow of the work we do. It’s loud, it’s messy, and it’s exactly how an engineering shop should be. We’ve been in Sulur for a long time, and the locals around Sengaliappan Nagar see us coming and going every day. The shop floor is the heart of the place, filled with various tools and pieces of metal waiting to be worked on. We don’t have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk to people right there among the equipment. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience and a steady hand. The air always smells a bit like burnt metal and lubricant, which is something you just get used to. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and keep going until the light starts to fade. It is a simple life of making things and fixing things. We don’t put on airs or try to look like a big corporation.
