Jay Rubber Industries

Operating out of Plot No. 13 in the Union Co Operative Estate for some time now. Being near the Gujarat Bottling Bus Stop makes it easy for people to find us, though the traffic in Rakhial can be a bit much during peak hours. At Jay Rubber Industries, we focus on making rubber parts. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to handle them correctly. The workshop floor is always a bit dusty and smells like raw rubber, which you get used to after a couple of days working here. We mostly deal with local orders and some from further away. It’s loud in here when everything is running, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We spend a lot of time checking the molds and making sure the heat is just right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The tea man comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a short break to sit on the plastic chairs outside. Our space in the estate isn't huge, so we have to stack the finished goods carefully to make room for the new materials coming in. We’ve had the same crew for a few years now, so everyone knows their job. We don’t bother with fancy offices or big signs. Just the work and getting it done by the end of the shift. Rakhial is a busy industrial area and we’re glad to be a small part of it.
