Integrated Engineering Impex

Integrated Engineering Impex is based in the Hare Krishna Complex in Maninagar. We are right across from the Apsara Cinema, so there’s always a lot of noise and people moving around when a movie lets out. Our office is at number 108, and it’s mostly filled with folders, technical manuals, and samples of engineering parts. We handle a lot of the importing and exporting side of things, so I spend a lot of my time on the phone or writing out lists for orders. It isn't a workshop with loud machines, but it’s still busy in a different way. There’s always some paperwork that needs finishing or a shipment that’s stuck somewhere at the port. My desk is a mess of coffee mugs and pens that don’t work half the time. We’ve been in this building for several years now and we know the other shopkeepers in the complex pretty well. In the afternoons, we usually go down for tea while the traffic picks up outside. Dealing with all the engineering specs can be a bit of a headache when the details on the papers don't match up with the parts. We just try to keep everything organized, even if the filing system is a bit old-fashioned. It’s a small operation and we don’t have any fancy corporate stuff going on. Just a few desks, a computer that acts up occasionally, and a lot of work to get through before the day finally ends.
