Inderpreet Engineering (Naroda)

Our workshop is over in Bhagat Estate, right near Galaxy Cinema. If you know the Naroda area, you know how busy National Highway 8 gets. We occupy units 2 and 3 in the estate. It's a noisy place with machines running most of the day, but that is just how an engineering shop is. My father started this place, and I took over later. We do a lot of metal work and repairs for local factories. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, no matter how much we sweep it up. We have a few guys who have worked here for ten years or more. They know how to handle the old lathes and the newer equipment too. Sometimes parts get delayed, or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the whole night fixing it to get a job done. It's not a clean office job. We wear grease-stained clothes and drink tea from the stall around the corner. The traffic outside can be a nightmare during the evening rush. We keep a lot of scrap metal out back for when we need a specific bit of steel. People come by looking for custom parts or just need something welded back together. It's honest work. We don't have a big sign, just the number on the gate. We're usually here until late on Saturdays finishing up.
