Hp Foods is located at Shop 5, right opposite the Tata Tunka Transport in Old Madhupura. If you know that area, you know it’s always packed with trucks and people moving things back and forth. It’s a dusty part of town, and there is always the sound of engines idling nearby. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we stack everything. We deal with a lot of food products, so we are always checking bags and boxes to make sure everything is okay. The heat in Old Madhupura can be pretty intense, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is hitting the pavement. We usually have a few people working at once, mostly just local guys who don't mind getting their hands dirty. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in what we do, moving sacks from the trucks into the shop and back out again. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us because they are already in the market area. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place, but it’s honest. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we can. Every day is a bit different depending on what trucks arrive, but the basic routine stays the same. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s what pays the bills.
