Hi-Tech Screw & Barrel

Our workshop is at B-06 in the Revabhai Estate, right across from the Bhimnath Hotel near the CTM Cross Road. It’s a busy part of Ahmedabad where there’s a lot of industrial activity. Hi-Tech Screw & Barrel is basically what the name says. We spend our days working on heavy metal parts for machinery. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and metal shavings, which is just part of the job when you’re machining screws and barrels. It’s a noisy place with the sound of grinders and lathes going all the time. We aren't a big corporation; it’s just a group of us who know how to handle these heavy parts. The sun beats down on the roof in the summer, making it pretty warm inside, but we have a few big fans to keep the air moving. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or those who see our sign when they're passing through the estate. We usually have lunch together in a small corner of the shop, talking about the work at hand or whatever is going on in the city. It’s steady work, and we take pride in getting the measurements right because these parts have to fit perfectly. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and get the job done without making a fuss about it.
