Himax Engineering

Our office for Himax Engineering is on the fourth floor of the Asha Complex. We are in unit 402. It’s right in Navrangpura, which is a busy part of town. One of the main things you notice here is the railway crossing nearby. You can hear the trains passing and the sirens going off throughout the day. Being on the fourth floor means we have to walk up or wait for the lift, and it gets a bit stuffy in the hallways during the summer. The complex is an older building, so it has that lived-in feel with various businesses on every floor. Our space is filled with desks, some old filing cabinets, and rolls of engineering drawings. It is more of an office setup than a heavy workshop. We spend a lot of time looking at plans and talking to people on the phone. The windows look out over the street, so we can see the traffic piling up at the crossing. It’s a good spot because we are central to everything in Ahmedabad. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We keep things pretty informal. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, and the stacks of paper on the desks seem to grow every week. It is just a practical place where we get our engineering work done without any unnecessary drama or corporate layers.
