Heena Engineering Co. Ltd.

Plot No. 3425 in Phase-IV of the GIDC at Vatva is where you will find Heena Engineering Co. Ltd. It is a big industrial zone, and our plot is right in the thick of it. The sun can be really unforgiving in this part of Gujarat, so the shed gets pretty warm by midday. We have got some big exhaust fans, but they only do so much. The area is always busy with trucks loading and unloading, and the sound of forklifts is pretty constant throughout the week. We keep our tools mostly on the back wall, though things tend to migrate during a busy shift. The office area is just a small partitioned space with a couple of chairs and a lot of files that have been there for ages. We don't really go in for fancy decor or anything like that. It is all about the work on the floor. Most of the staff comes from nearby areas, and we have our own little routine of starting the machines and checking the gauges. There is a small canteen nearby where the food is decent enough if you are hungry. The water cooler in the corner is probably the most popular spot in the whole building during the summer. We just keep our heads down and handle the engineering side of things, day in and day out, without making a big deal of it. It’s a practical place for practical work.
