H K Textiles is located in the Ravi Estate, specifically at I-8. We are right near the Torent Power Station and just across from the Gurudwara Brts Bus Stop in Dudheshwar. It’s quite a busy area with a lot of people moving around all the time because of the bus stop. Inside the estate, it’s a lot of fabric and machinery. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of cloth and the sound of machines running. It gets pretty warm in here, especially in the afternoons, but we just keep going. Everyone knows their job, from the people unloading the trucks to the ones checking the quality of the weaving. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us working with textiles every day. Sometimes the power flickers because of the station nearby, but we just reset and get back to work. The location is handy because of the buses, so it’s easy for everyone to get here. We see the same faces every morning and it’s a comfortable routine. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the fabric is right and the orders go out on time. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread by the end of the shift. We clean it up and start again the next day. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on for everyone working here.
