Gurukrupa Engineering Works

You can find our workshop at the Khodiyar Complex, near the Lilanagar BRTS stand. We’re at 495/4, right there in Khodiyar Nagar along the NH-8 highway. Being so close to the highway means there’s always dust and the sound of big trucks rolling past. It’s a loud place to work, but it’s practical for an engineering shop. We spend most of our time with our hands dirty. There’s always welding going on or someone using a lathe. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-job. We do a lot of repair work and making small parts that people need for their machines. It’s hot work, especially in the afternoon sun, and the shed gets pretty warm. We keep a cooler of water in the corner and just keep going. The BRTS stand nearby makes it easy for the guys to get to work, which is good. We’re just a local engineering outfit trying to get things fixed. We don't have a website with fancy photos. Our work is just about making sure the parts fit and the machines run again. It’s basic, hard, and sometimes frustrating, but it’s what we know how to do here in Ahmedabad.
