Gujarat Engineering Works

Our location is Plot No.B-904 in Deep Tower, which is right by the Atithi Restaurant at the Pakwan Cross Road in Bodakdev. Gujarat Engineering Works isn't a massive factory or anything, just our space in the tower where we do our engineering tasks. It’s a very busy intersection, so there’s always a lot of activity outside. We spend our time working with various machines and technical drawings. The shop floor is usually covered in bits of metal or tools we’ve left out from the last job. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever see, but it shows that we are actually working. Deep Tower is a well-known building, but finding our specific plot can be a bit tricky if you haven't been here before. We usually tell people to look for the restaurant first. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. It’s just us, usually with dirty hands, trying to solve whatever engineering puzzle we have that day. Some days are long and frustrating when a machine breaks down, but that’s just the nature of the work. We’ve been in Bodakdev for some time now and we’ve seen the area grow up around us. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work at hand, making sure things are done properly before we head home for the day.
