Gayatri Engineering Works

We are located at Plot No. 143 inside the Abhishree Industrial Estate in Odhav. It is right across from the Vyapari Maha Mandal building. Gayatri Engineering Works is a busy place with a lot of sparks flying most days. The industrial estate is always crowded with trucks and people moving crates around. Our shop is not very large, but we fit a lot of equipment into the space. We have been in Odhav for many years now. The walls are stained with soot, and there are stacks of iron bars in the corner. We start early when the tea stalls outside first open up. It is a lot of manual labor, bending metal and checking welds. We do not use any fancy computer systems for the work; it is all done by hand and experience. The noise of the neighboring shops blends in with ours, creating a constant hum in the air. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit outside until it comes back on. It is a simple life centered around the machines and the orders we need to finish. The address is easy to find if you know the Odhav area well. We just try to get through the stack of work on the bench before the day ends. It is just us and the metal. Most of the guys here have worked together for a long time, so we just get on with it.
