Ganesh Engineering Works (Odhav)

Ganesh Engineering Works (Odhav) is right in the middle of the Shreeji Industrial Estate at number 16. We are located close to the Radhakrishna Industrial Estate and sit just behind Hindustan Marbles. This is in Odhav Gam, a part of the city that is well known for all its engineering shops and workshops. Our shop is usually pretty loud with the sound of metal being worked on by the machines. We do various engineering jobs, mostly fixing broken parts or making small custom items that people need. The estate is a very busy place with trucks coming and going at all hours. Being tucked behind the marble shop makes us a little harder to find, but regular people know where we are. It is a dusty, hands-on environment every day. We don't wear suits or ties here; we just wear work clothes that usually end up covered in grease. The floor is often covered with metal scraps and various tools that we are using. We have a few older machines that still work perfectly fine for what we need. Odhav has a very specific feel to it, very hardworking and no-nonsense. We fit right in with the neighbors. Some days we have a lot of small walk-in jobs, while other days we are busy with longer projects. We take our breaks together and talk about the work. It is a simple life.
