Forge Tech Engineers

We have been here at L 99 in the Odhav GIDC estate for a long time now. If you walk down this part of the estate, you can hear the machines running from the road. It gets pretty loud during the day because everyone around here is doing some kind of metal work or heavy engineering. Our shop isn't fancy at all. We have the usual lathes and tools scattered around. Most days start early with a cup of tea before we get to the machines. The floor is always a bit oily and there are metal shavings everywhere, but that is just how it is when you are working with steel and parts all day. We spend most of our time looking at drawings or trying to figure out why a particular piece of equipment isn't lining up right. Sometimes it is hot, especially in the summer months when the shed traps all the heat, but we just keep going. People from other units stop by to borrow a tool or just to chat for a minute. We don't have a front office with air conditioning. It's just the workspace and a small desk where we keep the papers. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the jobs done that come through the door. Usually, we are busy with small batches of components or repairs that people bring in from nearby factories. It's just a regular engineering workshop in a busy industrial area.
