This office is tucked away near Himali Tower on the Shyamal-Manek Baugh Road. If you know the Satellite area, you know it can get quite congested with traffic. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things here. It is mostly about the records and the distribution of food supplies. Every morning starts with a lot of phone calls and checking ledger entries. The building isn't brand new, but it serves its purpose for the work we have to get through. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding grain movements and storage facilities across the region. It isn't the most exciting work, but it is necessary. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a bit of noise, but we just ignore it. Lunchtime usually involves everyone sitting together and talking about local news or the heat outside. We don't have a big front desk with a receptionist. People who come here usually have specific business to attend to. We keep the files organized as best as we can in the metal cabinets lining the walls. It is a practical setup, very functional and without any frills. Outside, the road is always busy with people going to the markets nearby. We just keep our heads down and manage the quotas and the reports that come in daily. It takes a lot of patience to deal with all the different forms and signatures required for every shipment.
