Our office is at the Siddhi Vinayak Towers, which is one of those tall buildings on the S G Highway in Ahmedabad. We are in Unit 11 of Block E. It’s a busy area of Makarba, and the highway is always packed with cars. Getting into the building in the morning involves a bit of a wait for the elevators since so many people work here. Our space is functional and mostly filled with desks and filing cabinets. We do agency work, so there is a lot of talking on the phone and typing away at keyboards. The view of the highway from the windows is actually quite interesting when the traffic is moving. We aren't into anything fancy, just a regular group of people doing our jobs. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because of the Gujarat heat. Most of us go out for a walk during the break just to get some fresh air away from the screens. The office has that typical smell of paper and printer ink. We’ve been at this location for some time and we know most of the other people in the block. It’s a standard corporate park environment, but we try to keep it relaxed inside our unit. We just focus on the files and making sure the day's work is completed before the evening commute starts again. It’s a lot of routine, but we get things done in our own way.
