Exotic Gourmet Pvt. Ltd.

We are based out of unit 21 in the Sumeru Bungalows, which is right next to the Sarathi Hotel in Vastrapur. It is a nice enough spot for Exotic Gourmet Pvt. Ltd., though it feels more like a home than a corporate office. We deal with various specialty food items that are a bit different from what you find in the regular grocery store. The kitchen area is where we do most of our testing and tasting. It often gets messy with jars and spices spread out everywhere. There are about four of us working here most days, trying to keep up with the orders that come in. Vastrapur is a busy part of town, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the bell. We started this because we wanted to bring different flavors to the local market. It has been a bit of a learning curve, especially with the paperwork and taxes. We just try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always try to fix them quickly. It is not a high-pressure environment; we just enjoy working with food and talking to our regular customers. Our desks are usually covered in samples and notes from suppliers. It’s a bit disorganized but we manage.
