Our office is situated in Mahidharpura, which is the heart of everything when it comes to diamonds in this city. We are up on the fourth floor of Saryu Chambers, in office number 412. Being on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops and the busy streets below, though we are usually too busy to look out the window much. Saryu Chambers is an older building, so it has a lot of character and a constant flow of people coming and going. The climb up can be a bit of a workout if you don't wait for the lift, but we don't mind it. Our office is where all the diamond work happens. It’s a simple space with good natural light, which is important for what we do. We don't have any fancy receptionists or waiting rooms with magazines. If you come to see us, you’ll likely just find us at our desks surrounded by our tools and papers. It’s a straightforward environment where the focus is entirely on the diamonds. We’ve been operating from this building for a good while, and we’ve gotten to know the other tenants well. It’s a community of people who all work in the same trade. We like the atmosphere here because it’s honest and everyone is just trying to make a living. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life.
