City Gold

City Gold is located near the Havmore Char Rasta, right behind the Amrapali Shopping Centre on Ambli Bopal Road. It’s a busy corner of the city. There’s always someone stopping for ice cream nearby, and the traffic at the intersection can get pretty loud during rush hour. Our shop is tucked in there, and we've been operating for a while. We don't have those fancy glass walls you see in malls. It’s a regular shop where we do our business. We see a lot of people from the nearby apartments. They come in for all sorts of reasons, maybe a small gift or just to see what’s new. We don't use any high-pressure sales tactics. We just show people what we have and let them decide. The staff here is small, just a few of us who have lived in the area for years. Sometimes we have a cup of tea while waiting for the next person to come through the door. The shelves are kept neat, but it’s a working shop, so there’s always a bit of dust from the road. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on being there when the shop is supposed to be open. It’s a simple life, and we like the people who live around Bopal. They’re good neighbors and they keep us busy enough. We just open up every morning and take it as it comes until it's time to head home.
