K Gold Palace

You can find us at 2 Lal Bhai Building in Madhupura. It’s a busy area and the building itself has been around for quite a while. K Gold Palace isn't one of those massive showrooms you see in the malls. It’s a more traditional spot where people come when they want someone they can actually talk to face-to-face. We have glass counters filled with different pieces, and we spend a lot of time polishing them to make sure they look right under the lights. The street outside is usually noisy with rickshaws and people walking to the market. Inside, it's a bit quieter, though we always have a radio playing somewhere in the background. We handle everything from small repairs to showing off new sets for weddings. Dealing with gold means you have to be very careful with the scales and the testing, so we take our time with every person who walks through the door. Sometimes customers stay for an hour just talking while they look at different designs. We offer them water or tea and just let them decide at their own pace. The carpet is a little worn in the spots where people stand the most, but that just shows we’ve had a lot of visitors over the years. We like being in Madhupura; it’s got a lot of character and the other shop owners nearby are all friendly enough. It's a good place to be if you like seeing the city life go by.
