You can find Bhagat Gems & Jewellers over at 227 A / B in the Super Mall on C. G. Road. This building is quite large, and sometimes the air conditioning works better on the ground floor than it does up here. We have been in this spot for a good while now. Every morning starts with opening up the metal shutters and wiping down the dust that settles on the displays overnight. C. G. Road is always loud with cars and people, but once you step inside the mall, it feels a lot calmer. We see many people walking by our window, mostly folks just killing time while they wait for their friends or a movie. Our shop has a very basic setup. There are some stools for people to sit on if they want to get a closer look at something. We keep our small tools and scales in the back drawer. It is not some high-end corporate office; it is just a regular place where we do our work. Sometimes the mall security guards come by for a bit of a chat. We usually have a small radio playing in the background to pass the hours. Managing the stock takes up most of our time, and we write everything down in a thick ledger book. It feels like a second home to us because we are here more than anywhere else.
