Dipak Mamra Poha

Out here in Rakanpur Village, things move a bit slower than they do in the city. Our place is on Plot No. 1, right at the start of the industrial patch in this part of Kalol. We focus on mamra and poha, which are staples around here. The factory is basically a large hall with machines lined up along the walls. It gets quite warm inside when the roasters are going at full capacity. We hire most of our help from the village itself. It’s nice because everyone knows each other and we can trust people. We don’t have a fancy corporate office or anyone wearing suits. Most of the time, we’re in our work clothes, covered in a bit of white dust from the rice processing. The mornings are the busiest because that’s when we start the first batches and get the trucks ready. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a couple of times this month, which was a real headache and slowed us down. It’s just one of those things you deal with when you’re running a small setup. We don't make big claims about being the biggest or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and hope the weather stays dry so the grain doesn't get damp during storage. It’s a simple operation in a quiet village, and that suits us just fine.
