Devine Sewing Mart.

Devine Sewing Mart is located at G/F-21 in the Siddhivinayak Estate. We are right across from the New Cotton Mill in the Amrawadi area. Being on the ground floor is convenient because people can just walk right in with their machines. Our shop is full of sewing machines, parts, and all kinds of accessories. It smells a bit like machine oil and metal, which is how a sewing mart should smell, I suppose. We spend a lot of time showing people how the different machines work or helping them find a specific part they need for an old model they’ve had for years. Amrawadi is an industrial sort of area, so the New Cotton Mill across the street is a big part of the daily scenery. We get a lot of workers and small business owners coming in to ask questions. The shop can be a bit cluttered with boxes and machine displays, but we know where everything is. We’ve been here at Siddhivinayak Estate for a good number of years. It’s a practical location for us. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just rows of machines and shelves of supplies. We talk to our customers about their sewing projects and try to give them what they need without any fuss. It’s a simple, honest business. We open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening, helping whoever comes through the door. Sometimes we have to repair a machine on the spot, so we keep our tools handy. It’s noisy and dusty, but it’s our trade and we’re used to it.
