Chemcent Flavours & Fragrances is located up on the second floor at Sewka's Wadi in Khadiya. It is an old part of the city, and our place usually smells like a mix of everything we are working on that day. Sometimes it is something sweet like vanilla, other times it is a sharp citrus. We spend most of our time at the benches mixing small batches of oils for different clients. It is a busy spot, and there are always people coming up the stairs with questions or picking up their orders. The building has been here for ages, and we have just sort of settled into the routine of it. We deal with many local manufacturers who need specific scents for soaps or food products. It is not a fancy setup, just a lot of bottles, scales, and people who know what they are doing with their noses. Usually, the office gets a bit cramped when a big shipment of raw materials arrives, but we manage. If you walk through the wadi, you can probably find us just by following the smell. It is quiet enough for us to focus, but close enough to the main market area that we are not isolated. Most of us have worked here for years, so we know the inventory by heart. We do not really do much advertising, word of mouth around Khadiya keeps us moving. It is just honest work with scents and flavors every day.
