Chasmita Eng Pvt Ltd is based at Vrundavan Cross Road in Vadodara. It’s a busy part of Gujarat, 390019, where the traffic never really seems to stop. We are right there where the main roads meet, so there’s always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. Our office isn’t anything out of the ordinary or special to look at. It’s a functional space where we handle our engineering business every day. We have some sturdy desks, some old filing cabinets that have seen better days, and quite a lot of paper stacked everywhere. Engineering involves a lot of documents, and we seem to have a pile for every project. We don’t have a fancy interior designer or modern art on the walls. We just moved the furniture in where it fit best and started working years ago. People come and go throughout the day. We might be meeting with a contractor or just talking to a supplier on the phone about a late delivery. It’s a bit hectic sometimes because of the location and the pace of work. We’ve been in Vadodara for a long time and we are used to the rhythm of the city. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take on engineering projects and try to see them through to the end. The office is usually a bit messy with blueprints and half-drunk cups of tea, but that’s just how we operate.
