Burthill Design Pvt. Ltd. India is over in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad. We are specifically at B G 2 in Sukirti Enclave. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don't have to deal with elevators or too many stairs when we are carrying equipment or rolls of drawings. Satellite is a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside. The office has a lot of natural light coming in, which helps when you are staring at a screen all day. We do design work, so the desks are usually covered in sketches, notes, and various bits of paper. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but we know where everything is located. The atmosphere is pretty low-key. We don't have formal meetings with PowerPoints; we usually just stand around someone’s desk and talk about what needs fixing. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are a bit worn out, but they are comfortable enough. We have a small corner for making tea and coffee, which gets a lot of use in the mornings. Most of us have been working together for a while, so we don't need to explain much to each other anymore. We just get in, find a spot, and start on the day’s list. It’s a solid place to work and the location is convenient for most of the team. We usually turn off the lights by seven in the evening.
