Our facility is situated at Plot Number 616 in the Kerala Industrial Estate. This is out in the Bavla area, specifically near P. O. Kerala. It’s a big industrial zone, so there are a lot of factories and trucks moving around at all hours. At Varmora Foods, we spend our time dealing with food production and processing. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean and making sure the machines are running as they should. The air around the industrial estate usually has a mix of smells from all the different plants nearby. We have a good number of people working on the floor here. It’s not a quiet job; there is always the hum of the packaging lines and the sound of loaders. We’ve been out here in Bavla because the space is good for a setup of this size. Most of the staff comes from the local villages around Kerala and Bavla. We don't have a fancy corporate lobby. Most of the space is taken up by the production lines and the storage areas for the ingredients. It gets quite busy during the peak seasons when we have more orders to fill. We just focus on getting the food packed and sent out to the distributors. It’s a tough, honest way to make a living and we’ve been doing it for quite some time now.
