Bahuchar Engineering

Our workshop, Bahuchar Engineering, is at A 13 in the Kailash Estate. We are right near Gopinath Estate in the Odhav area. This is a big industrial zone, so there is always the sound of machines and trucks in the background. Our unit is a straightforward engineering shop where we handle various metal and mechanical tasks. It’s a dusty place, as you would expect in Odhav, but we don't mind it. We have our lathes and other equipment set up to handle the jobs that come in from other businesses in the estate. Most of our work is for other local companies who need specific parts or repairs. We’ve been in Kailash Estate for several years and have seen the area grow quite a bit. The sun hits the metal roof pretty hard in the summer, making it quite hot inside, so we keep the fans running all day long. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us near the machines with grease on our hands. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. We talk to the guys in the neighboring units while we have our tea or lunch. It’s a tight-knit community of workers here. We just focus on getting the engineering specs right and making sure the parts are sturdy. There is always a pile of scrap metal in the corner waiting to be cleared out.
