Ass.Engineer

My workplace and home base are right near the Old Railway Institute in Sabarmati, Ahmedabad. I stay at 784/10 in the Church Compound, which is a pretty quiet spot compared to the main roads. Being an assistant engineer in this part of town means I deal with a lot of local infrastructure and technical bits that keep things running. The Kabirchowk Road area has its own rhythm, and I’ve grown used to it over the years. I don’t have a shiny office with a receptionist. It’s more about being on-site or at my desk with a bunch of files and technical manuals. I handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff that the senior guys don't have time for. Ramnagar is a decent place to work out of, and I know the shortcuts around here pretty well. My job isn't about making big promises; it’s just about making sure the engineering side of projects is solid. Sometimes the work is just checking figures or looking at site layouts. It can be dusty work, especially with all the movement around the railway area. I’ve lived in Ahmedabad long enough to know how to get things done without making a fuss. People know where to find me if there’s a problem that needs a technical eye. It’s not glamorous, but it’s a living, and it keeps me busy enough from Monday to Saturday. I usually walk to the local shops after I finish up for the evening to clear my head and see some neighbors.
