Ashish Engineering Works

Ashish Engineering Works is tucked away at 142, Neelkanth Industrial Park. We’re in the Ambica Mill Compound, which is quite a large area to find your way around if you aren’t used to it. Being near the Vatva Railway Bridge means we hear the trains rattling past all day long. It becomes like background music after a while. The workshop is usually hot, especially during the summer months when the metal roof picks up all that heat. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space at number 142. It’s a lot of engineering work, mostly involving stuff people wouldn’t even think about twice. We deal with a lot of industrial bits. Some days the work is steady and other days it’s a total scramble to get everything loaded onto the trucks. Vatva is a hardworking part of town, and we fit right in with the rest of the industrial units here. We take our lunch breaks sitting on whatever crates are empty at the time. It’s not a polished lifestyle, but it’s real. The air in the compound is always thick with the smell of industry and the sounds of work from the neighboring units. Ashish Engineering Works has been operating out of this spot for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the railway bridge and the heavy traffic that comes through the park every single morning. We just focus on finishing the jobs we have on the floor and making sure we get them out to the customers.
