A.S. Machinery

Working at A.S. Machinery in Vatva means getting used to the noise of the GIDC Phase-4 area. We are tucked away in the Shakriba Estate, right behind that Indo German Tool Room that everyone uses as a landmark. The mornings usually start with a lot of heavy lifting and the smell of industrial oil. It is a busy spot because there are so many units around us doing all sorts of manufacturing. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a standard workshop where we handle the machinery. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday, and we spend a good chunk of our time just keeping the equipment running smoothly. It gets quite warm inside the shed during the afternoons, especially when all the machines are going at once. We don't really have a front desk or a formal reception area because most people who come here are just looking for parts or checking on an order. They walk straight into the workspace. Most of us live nearby and have been working in this estate for a long time now. You get to know the guys at the neighboring units and we often share tools if someone is in a pinch. It is a simple way of working, focusing on the day’s tasks without much fuss. We try to keep things organized, but in a machine shop, things have a way of getting messy fast. That is just the daily reality of our life here in Vatva.
