Arihant Rice Mill

Arihant Rice Mill is located in the Arihant Complex over in Khatraj, specifically in the Panchvati area. We are tucked right behind the Shajanand Petrol Pump, so if you are filling up your tank, you can usually hear our machines humming away. Being on the Ahmedabad Mahemdavad Road makes it easy for the tractors to bring in the paddy from the fields in Khera district. We are also right opposite the Bank of India, which is handy for doing the daily paperwork. The mill itself isn't much to look at from the outside, just a busy place where we spend our mornings and afternoons sorting through the rice. It gets a bit chaotic when the harvest comes in, with bags stacked up nearly to the ceiling. We have a small crew and we’ve all worked together for years, so we know each other's habits pretty well. The dust can get to you after a while, so we try to keep the doors open for a bit of a breeze. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. People often wander in thinking we are part of the petrol pump or the bank, but we just point them in the right direction. We focus on getting the rice cleaned and ready for the market. It’s been our routine for a long time, and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. The traffic on the main road is always moving, but inside the complex, we just stick to our own tasks and get through the day's work.
