Amrut Plastic Engineers

You can find Amrut Plastic Engineers over at 34, Hariom Shiv Shankar. We are tucked in behind the Ambica Hotel in the C.T.M area of Amraiwadi. It’s a bit of a tight spot to get into sometimes, especially with the local traffic, but we’ve been here for a good while. We work on plastic engineering, which means a lot of time spent with molds and different types of resins. The workshop isn't very big, so we have to stay organized. There are piles of finished parts in one corner and raw materials in the other. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don't have any secretaries or big-shot managers. We all just pitch in where needed. If a machine needs cleaning, we clean it. If an order needs to be loaded onto a rickshaw, we load it. Amraiwadi is a working-class neighborhood, and we fit right in with the other shops around us. We know our neighbors and they know us. The air in the shop is usually warm from the heaters we use to melt the plastic. We drink a lot of tea to stay going throughout the day. We aren't looking to become some giant corporation. We just want to keep making our parts and keeping our customers satisfied. It’s a simple life and we like the work.
