Atari Electro Weigh

Our workshop is at Shed No. 6 in the Shraddha Industrial Estate. We are right in Amraiwadi, across the street from the New Cotton Mills. If you come by this way, you’ll see it’s a very busy industrial area. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or machines humming nearby. Our shed isn’t huge, but it has enough room for our weighing equipment and the benches where we work. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains from years of use that we can never quite scrub away. We don’t have an office staff; it’s mostly just us getting our hands dirty every day. The air in Amraiwadi can be a bit heavy with the smell of industry and dust, but you stop noticing it after a few hours of working. We keep a small electric kettle in the corner for making tea during our short breaks. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we use a few extra lamps over the workbenches so we can see what we're doing with the smaller parts. It gets very hot in the summer, and the tin roof doesn't help much, but we have a couple of old pedestal fans that keep the air moving enough to be comfortable. We’ve been here at Atari Electro Weigh for quite some time now. Most of the other guys in the industrial estate know us by name and wave as they pass. It’s a rough and ready kind of place, but it’s where we do our work.
