Ambica Engg. & Wire Industries

Ambica Engg. & Wire Industries is located at L-45 in the Gidc Estate in Odhav. This is a very busy part of the city for industrial work. There are a lot of small and medium units around here, all doing different kinds of engineering. Our shed is pretty basic. We have our wire machines and some other tools spread out across the floor. It is a loud place when everything is running at once. We have a small office area that is partitioned off with some plywood, but you can still hear everything through the walls. We don't have a receptionist, so we just answer the door ourselves when someone knocks. The floor is usually covered in some metal shavings and bits of wire, but we try to clean it up at the end of every shift. We have a small stove for making tea and a few chairs for taking a break. The roof is made of corrugated sheets, so it gets really loud when it rains. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. We just talk to the people who need our services and try to get the jobs done. It’s been our home for quite a while now. We know the other business owners on this block and we all just try to get through the week. It’s not much to look at, but it’s where we do our thing and the work keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
