Allied Engineers

We have been here at Ried Road for a good while now, right across from the SBI and the HRM market. If you know the Panchkuwa Gate area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and people moving about. At Allied Engineers, we mostly just keep our heads down and get on with the work. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular place with a lot of metal and tools lying around where they should be. Most mornings start with moving stuff around to make space. It is loud around here because of the traffic, but we are used to it by now. People come by looking for specific parts or just to see if we can fix something that broke. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. There is a desk in the corner that’s usually covered in papers and some old tea cups. We try to keep things organized, but when it’s busy, that usually goes out the window. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the grease, which is just how it is when you’re working with machinery all day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot near the gate. It's just a straightforward operation where we do what needs doing and hope the machines keep running right. Nothing too complicated about it, really. It gets the job done.
