Alka Engineering Works

Alka Engineering Works is located right in the middle of the Mill Compound area on Naroda Road. If you are heading towards Amdupura, you’ll find us at Plot No- 64 in Bharat Khand. It’s an old industrial spot, so there is always a lot of activity and trucks moving in and out. Our workshop is usually covered in a bit of grease and metal dust because that is just the nature of the work we do. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners around the compound. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the energy of the mill area. When the machines are running, you can hardly hear yourself think, but that means we are getting things done. We don't spend much time on paperwork or sitting in fancy offices. Most of our day is spent right there on the shop floor, looking at drawings or fixing parts. Bharat Khand has a lot of history with engineering and we are just another part of that long line. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually when we take a short break. People know us by our name and they know where to find us when something needs welding or turning. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the gates close at night. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here, just the machines and the people who know how to use them.
